Since its formation in 1964, the choir appears annually at the Welsh Proms and has performed with many of the world’s leading conductors, orcheStras and soloiSts including: Sir Colin Davies; Sir Andrew Davies; Tadaaki Otaka; Owain Arwel Hughes; The London Symphony OrcheStra; BBC National OrcheStra of Wales; The Royal Philharmonic OrcheStra; Raphael Wallfisch, Luciano Pavarotti; Dame Kiri Te Kanawa; Felicity Lott and Bryn Terfel. We have also sung for both the Queen and Nelson Mandela. The choir’s versatility has led to countless recordings and broadcaSts on both Radio and Television, moSt recently on BBC Radio 4. Commissioning of new works remains high on the choir’s artiStic agenda alongside an active tradition of promoting the work of Welsh composers, notably that of William Mathias, Alun Hoddinott, Geraint Lewis, John Metcalf & Mervyn Burtch. The main focus of the Choir is uplifting souls through Spiritual Gospel music. The Choir has been honoured with many local and national events. The Choir has also had the privilege of singing in several Choir feStivals of other denominations. In addition to the Choir singing of daily services, the Choir participates in a number of events in the Church. The Choir by the grace of God has released some album in the year 2014 and 2018 titled “Ever Faithful and Angels Voices” respectively. The singers have set themselves the target to present their liSteners a wide musical spectrum. Their repertoire consiSts of vocal music from Renaissance and Baroque to Romanticism to the 20th and 21St century. Important elements are works of Jacobus Gallus, Michael Praetorius, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Francis Poulenc and Rudolf Mauersberger. In addition they also perform with popular music.
