the Southend Boys' Choir was formed in 1972 and the Girls' Choir in 1988. the choirs perform regularly in major London venues including Royal Albert Hall, and sing with professional orchestras. they also tour extensively, and have performed in US, Canad...  morethe Southend Boys' Choir was formed in 1972 and the Girls' Choir in 1988. the choirs perform regularly in major London venues including Royal Albert Hall, and sing with professional orchestras. they also tour extensively, and have performed in US, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Seychelles and across Europe. We welcome visiting choirs and enjoy joining with other youth choirs in concerts. We have a training choir for younger singers, and a choir for boys whose voices have changed.

En la actualidad sus componentes vienen desde distintos centros escolares, institutos y facultades. En sus ya 18 años de historia la EMA ha participado en multitud de concursos, encuentros y congresos con coros de todo el mundo y ha sido invitada a colaborar en galas y proyectos benéficos. Tuvieron especial relevancia los encuentros nacionales en Guadix (Granada), Toledo, Oviedo y Murcia, así como los congresos internacionales en Granada, Estocolmo, Roma y París.
