Conspirare was founded in 1991 to present a summer classical Music festival in Austin, Texas. Since then, the organization has grown rapidly to become an internationally recognized, professional choral organization that combines outstanding vocal artistry with innovative programming. Led by renowned founding artistic director Craig Hella Johnson, Conspirare is comprised of two adult ensembles and two youth Choirs. The five-time Grammy-nominated chamber Choir Conspirare, with extraordinarily talented singers from around the country, is presented in an annual concert series in Austin and other Texas communities, tours in the U.S. and abroad, and records on the Harmonia Mundi label. Each Funky Voices rehearsal is taught by highly qualified and experienced Music tutors. Sandra Colston BA Hons (Musical Director) arranges the Music to suit the Choir members, and to bring the Music up to date and possible for a Choir to sing. The Choir's mission is to nurture Bulgarian talent and instill a love for choral art among young individuals aged 16 to 35. It honors Bulgaria's choral traditions while occasionally embracing contemporary trends in choral performance, employing techniques like body percussion and mise-en-scène to enhance their vocal craft. Founded as Pastoral - female chamber Choir in 1987, nowadays the ensemble carries the name of its originator Irina Stiglich. Тhe Choir's repertoire encompasses (or includes) works by both Bulgarian and international composers, spanning eras from the Renaissance to modern times. In the World Choir Championships which was held in Graz, Austria between 10th-17th July 2011, Boğaziçi Jazz Choir became the 'WORLD CHAMPION' in Contemporary Music and Folklore categories, and got the 'second prize' in Mixed Choirs category. Also winning ...  moreIn the World Choir Championships which was held in Graz, Austria between 10th-17th July 2011, Boğaziçi Jazz Choir became the 'WORLD CHAMPION' in Contemporary Music and Folklore categories, and got the 'second prize' in Mixed Choirs category. Also winning 2 more gold medals in 'Grand Prix of Choral Music' the champions competed in, the Choir has come back to Turkey with a total of 5 gold medals. At present the Choir has 34 members. The group’s repertoire is very eclectic: from spirituals to sacred polyphony, from pop Music to regional and international folk songs. The ensemble has performed in many beautiful churches and other landmarks in Rome and in Central Italy, with concerts in the most important concert halls in the capital city and festivals in many wonderful villas and palaces scattered around the countryside near Rome. In 2007 and 2009 the Choir participated with great enthusiasm in the International Choir Festival in Val Pusteria. In the 2010 regional Choir contest at Formello the Choir came first in the pop category and second in the category for choral Music from the 20th and 21st centuries.
