The group gives women from 16 to 70+ the opportunity to share the joy and proven health benefits of singing with like-minded people in a fun and creative environment. Weekly sessions, under the instruction of a Highly enthusiastic and experienced Natural Voice Practitioner and registered British Voice Association teacher, will provide opportunities for you to sing in harmony, discover new techniques and to improve your musicality, understanding and appreciation of music. With your newly found confidence you will tackle more complicated and challenging musical arrangements and enjoy hearing the finished result – just for pleasure! Whilst we “work” hard these sessions are enjoyable social events. There is discipline and structure but also fun, laughter and a strong sense of teamwork as we rehearse songs from a variety of genres, performing new musical arrangements to suit a variety of tastes. We have members of all skill levels and are ...  moreVoices of Harmony, (VOH), is an award winning, all Women's barbershop group based in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates, (UAE). Founded in 2005, VOH has been entertaining Abu Dhabi audiences ever since! We have members of all skill levels and are a multicultural group. We use professionally made voice tracks to help learn our parts with precision, thus allowing us to put aside our sheet music and really enjoy the magic of hearing all the harmonies merged into the ringing chords of the Barbershop style! It’s the blend of these unique vocal parts that creates the space for an exciting ensemble. Barbershop singing style is unaccompanied, and creates four-part a cappella harmony. Although barbershop-style music is usually built on simple melodies and is relatively easy to sing, the "a cappella style" and the ear training necessary for independent part singing make it one of the most challenging and rewarding accomplishments of a vocal ensemble.
