Please contact me: • Facebook: david.basden.9 • New email: deebee123 [at] bigpond.com - - - - - Language: Latin. Standard of difficulty: fairly easy. Duration: circa 1½ minutes. No divisi. No extreme ranges. One page. Suitable for both church and concert hall. I wrote this with the aim of presenting the prayer with as much clarity as possible. To that end, I've set the text phrase by phrase rather than as deconstructed fragments. The score may be downloaded and used for church or concert performances free of charge. Please let me know when the performance date is approaching. I'm keen to receive feedback, and I'll happily link your publicity material and website to my social media pages. Choirs are most welcome to post their own versions here on ChoirPlace.  less

"Shenandoah - the lush a Cappella harmonies towards the end had me hitting the repeat button again and again, if only to wallow in the glorious antithetical glissandos in the last measure. I loved that! " Barbara Allen - Pasadena, California USA Lyrics ’Mid all the traffic of the ways, Turmoils without, within, Make in my heart a quiet place, And come and dwell therein. A little shrine of quietness, All sacred to Thyself, Where Thou shalt all my soul possess, And I may find myself. A little place of mystic grace, Of self and sin swept bare, Where I may look into thy face, And talk with Thee in prayer.
