So they grabbed a few friends and went to it :) No, but seriously.... Eric Whitacre is a genius, and this song is beautiful. I would love you forever if you shared this with your friends/family/people you know/people you don't know/people you hate... you get the point... just show everybody :) You can click on almost any of the quartets (near the beginning of the video) and it'll link you to the video that the quartet was in I love feedback almost as much as i love new subscribers, let me know if you want me to do more choral videos or if I should stick to barbershop (remember this is my first choral, so they would get better) as always there is no autotune --Composed by Eric Wh...    less

In mid-April, 2011, Ola spent 3 days on the Central Washington University Campus for a Project in which he joined the choir in recording 3 of his compositions. On this video, Gjeilo adds an improvised accompaniment (in a one-take rendition) to his setting of the Ubi Caritas text -- which is published as an unaccompanied piece. Because of his view that improvising is a wonderful snapshot of artists "at that moment", the Project was entitled "In the Moment".  less

For 15 years, the Golden Voices of Montserrat festival has been more than just a competition. It is a celebration of harmony, culture, and unity — a gathering of choirs from across the globe who share a passion for singing.

My love is far from here I sense in my dreams that she's dreaming of me far off in that country dreaming that we shall once more sing our old song We'll sing in harmony longing for the day when harmony can soothe our sorrows and make us smile to think that harmony can soother our sorrows dreams far off.

So I decided to have a go at performing some of his works. They are in a style that I’ve not sung for over 20 years (evangelical church choir), but the old fervour still comes out in the performance: I was transported back to those good old days as I sang. This piece i...    less
