Transposed version of andrew Emmet's a cappella arrangement of By the light of the Silvery moon (lyrics by Ed Madden, original music by Gus Edwards). This is my one-man choir (dwsChorale) performance (transposed down to A flat).

In addition we are frequently asked to sing at local events, weddings and celebrations. The Society was started in 1960, under our founder Gerald Brown, and we are still going strong. We are now led by James Gallagher, who has been working with us since 2009. We invite local young soloists and professionals to perform with us. Our repertoire ranges from 16th Century works to those of living composers and covers both major serious and popular works. Tickets for our concerts are available at www.wegottickets.com/crosbycapriolsingers  less

We perform a regular series of concerts each year: the details for the current season can be seen here. The range of music includes serious classical works, programmes of choral classics, West End musical pieces and the lighter popular music included in our annual Christmas Cracker concert. Our full repertoire can be seen in our list of past concerts. Some notable highlights have been Walton’s Belshazzar’s Feast, Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis, Berlioz’s Grande Messe des Morts and Mahler’s Eighth Symphony - the Symphony of a Thousand.  less

We recently recorded this with Nigel Owens for a TV programme. He always wanted to sing his favourite song with a Male Voice choir. We in Dowlais were so pleased to help him realise his ambition. Hope you all enjoy listening to a great referee and a great choir, as together we sing......MYFANWY.
