Kikimasu (grades 4-6) offers a focus on thorough and excellent Music education, with singers learning about healthy vocal production, the body-voice connection, and vibrant performance presence, as well as ant emphasis on Musical literacy, Music theory, and sightsinging skills. As with all our ensembles, Kikimasu provides a secure and accepting social environment where all singers feel their importance as members of the group. Most importantly, Kikimasu has fun and creates exciting Music! Kikimasu means “hear it” in Japanese; you can look forward to hearing the Music they make at every concert!  less

They are also the current ABC Classic FM choir of the Year. In addition to this they were judged Youth choir of the Year and also received the Listeners' Choice Award. In 2008 they were part of the Channel 7 Battle of the choirs TV show, making it as far as the quarter finals, where they met their Waterloo with ABBA's song of the same name. Membership is drawn from state and independent secondary Schools and universities and there is a strong emphasis placed on inclusion for any young man who enjoys singing and expresses a desire to develop as a Musician.
