Papandopulo composed "Pozdrav Zori dalmatinskoj" on August 1st 1976 in Opatija (Croatia). Written in 1844 by Ana Vrdoljak, a poetess from Imostski (Croatia), The lyrics of this song date back to The times of Illyrian movement, celebrating The launching of The magazine "Zora dalmatinska", a literary and educational weekly issued in Zadar, thus being The first Croatian literary magazine to be issued outside Zagreb (from 1844 to 1849).
