Despite of the apparent differences, they are strong in Musical passion and bonds, which is the essential spirit of Sabahan camaraderie. In 2015, they received further recognition as achievers of Level 5 Singing Ensemble with Distinction under the same international examination board. Recently, in June 2016, they completed their advanced Level 6 Singing Ensemble examination with an exceptional praise from the Senior Adjudicator of the Australian GUILD of Music Education. The OV Singers received their Grade 7 in Concert Certificate under the St. Cecilia School of Music International Examinations in December 2017. In the World Choir Championships which was held in Graz, Austria between 10th-17th July 2011, Boğaziçi Jazz Choir became the 'WORLD CHAMPION' in Contemporary Music and Folklore categories, and got the 'second prize' in Mixed Choirs category. Also winning ...  moreIn the World Choir Championships which was held in Graz, Austria between 10th-17th July 2011, Boğaziçi Jazz Choir became the 'WORLD CHAMPION' in Contemporary Music and Folklore categories, and got the 'second prize' in Mixed Choirs category. Also winning 2 more gold medals in 'Grand Prix of Choral Music' the champions competed in, the Choir has come back to Turkey with a total of 5 gold medals. This particular setting was composed with a small Mixed-ability Choir in mind, so the voices are mainly in two parts (men's and women's voices), splitting to four parts (SATB) occasionally, where the words suggest it. The Musical style is reminiscent of the 19th century although the piano part does go into 20th century style syncopation at times.

Whatcom Chorale is a Mixed Choir of approximately 90 singers. We are headquartered in Bellingham, WA and have been singing since 1972. This year marks our 40th anniversary!

Its repertoire consists of Negro spirituals and African songs, as well as interesting part interpretations of pop and soul songs. The Choir often performs at social events and Zagreb City events for tourists, and also regularly participates in domestic, national and international choral events, festivals and competitions.
