The organisation was set up by professional conductor, Emma Rowland, who suffers with anxiety and depression. Emma wanted to make choirs, and singing, more accessible to everyone. During the COVID lockdown, SOS has been offering FREE virtual choirs to the entire world. We're currently (June 2020) in 80 countries and working with thousands of singers each week. We've just launched our fourth project, an original song, ready to be made into a virtual choir video.  less

Directe...  moreBlossom Street is a highly versatile and vibrant chamber choir comprising some of the UK’s best young singers which performs regularly on TV and radio as well as on the concert platform, and has released two critically acclaimed CDs with Naxos. Directed by Hilary Campbell, a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, the group was formed a decade ago, while the singers were studying at the University of York, and relocated to London in 2007. In York, Blossom Street filmed a medley of Christmas carols for BBC2, which was broadcast during the snooker final in 2005, and since then has performed nationwide and beyond. They sang to Prince Charles on ITV1 as part of his 60th birthday celebrations, and gave their debut in Queen Elizabeth Hall as part of the Voicelab series in 2009. Recent projects include performances in Sweden, Japan and Spain as well as at the Edinburgh Fringe, regular broadcasts on BBC Radio 4, recording projects for Resonus and Guild, several education projects and corporate, concert and festival ...    less

Our latest performance was back up for Barry Manilow! Our choir was founded in March, 2010 by founding director Matt Deller contact us at http://www.soundsofthesouthwestsingers.com/home We have performed on the stages of New York’s Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall. We have sung our way through Germany and Austria and on two separate occasions at Disneyland and California Adventures. We had the honor of performing at Pearl Harbor and aboard the USS Missouri in Hawaii. Our choir also participated in a combined concert with Southwestern College in Chula Vista, CA and last fall we were chosen to be a part of a larger ensemble to sing in Rome, Italy, performing at the Vatican. Its first members were students of the Club's Music School and many of them participated in the Youth Choir of the city of Heraklion, under ...  moreTHALITAS vocal ensemble was first created in 1996 as an activity of the “APOLLON” Music Club by Giorgos Kaloutsis. Its first members were students of the Club's Music School and many of them participated in the Youth Choir of the city of Heraklion, under the direction of Mrs. Katerina Tzagkaraki. The name of the ensemble originates from Thalitas, an ancient cretan composer and legislator, after whom a street in Heraklion is named; in this street the first rehearsals of the ensemble took place. The ensemble's primary goal was to acquaint its members with the a cappella (“in the chapel”, without church organ accompaniment) vocal music of the renaissance period. THALITAS began by studying and performing works of renowned composers of that era (e.g. Josquin des Prez, G. P. da Palestrina, Orlando di Lasso) to assist the learning process of its members' musical studies.
