It is the Choir's mission since its existence to captivate audiences with versatile and enjoyable singing which is passionately presented by each member. The Choir consists of 58 learners, under direction of Stefan Buys and accompanied by Brigitte Botha.  

Performance by the Mansfield University Concert Choir conducted by Sheryl Monkelien at the 2014 World Choir Games in Riga, Latvia. They won a gold medal and second place in the Spiritual Category.

We sing Original compositions by Juliet Russell who conducts the Choir and is also our solo performer. Aside from Juliet's original material we sing a mix of traditional Gospel, African and Eastern European Music. The Choir consists of male and female singers of all ages who simply love to sing. No auditions required and no need to read sheet music we learn by ear. New songs are added every term to our repertoire and we perform regularly at everything from weddings to local festivals.  less

Our new Musical Director, Julian Collings joined the Choir beginning of 2019. Over the last few years the Choir has enjoyed a growing reputation for its repertoire of outstanding contemporary music alongside the established classics. TCS latest performances included The Creation of Haydn, Mendelssohn's Elijah, Mass in Blue of Todd, Rossini's Petite Messe solennelle. The Choir also perform a Christmas Concert every year. Overall we perform three main Concerts a year. During its performances TCS enjoys the participation of professional soloists and orchestras and ensembles. Phil Culling is our accompanist. With past successes and imaginative programming, TCS is thriving. We are always glad to welcome new singers, regardless of age; especiallly those who enjoy their music making. We were born on the 24th of july 2017. A new Choir in our local area. Open to all singers who want to have a fun singing experience, performing songs from the charts, old and new.
