Mixed Choir "Petko Stainov" became one of the leading ensembles not only in Bulgaria. It is prizewinner of many international competitions: Aretzo,Italy - 1980 - 1th Prize; Varna, Bulgaria - 1985 - 3th prize; Ihlava, Czech - 1987 - 3th prize; Preveza, Greece - 2000 - 2nd prize and silver award; Musica Sacra - Praque,Czech - 2001 - The golden award. Choir festival – Ankara, 2003 – award for successful synchronize conductor – Choir. International Choir Competition “A.Vivaldi” – Karpenissi, Greece – 2009,1st prize.
The Choir consists of about 40 members that non of them is professional singer.

Roughly a year after conception the group has successfully represented the Philippines at the 1st Vietnam International Choir Festival and Competition, Hoi An 2011. Under the Leadership of Founder and Choirmaster Ron Oñate, they brought home 2 silver diplomas for the Folk and Sacred Music Categories from the said competition, establishing their mark on the international Choir scene.
Chamz, as they are popularly known, has continually rendered their voices for various Television shows, Music Festivals, Product endorsements, corporate events, charity concerts and outreach activities. Acknowledged by the City Government of Mandaluyong, alongside the Mandaluyong Children’s Choir as one of the cities musical pride, the group had started to accumulate support from people that their heartwarming voices have touched.

As One was written to mark the centenary of World War I. The song is written for a SATB Choir and is sung a cappella. It is a contemplative piece which explores themes of togetherness in adversity and the call for peace. Its opening phrase mimics that of the Last Post and it is intended to be sung as part of an act of remembrance.
