The Choir was founded in 1982 by José Firmino, actually is led by conductor and composer Paulo Bernardino (1973). The Choir participates each year in about two dozens of concerts, in Portugal and abroad.

It has evolved into an ensemble determined to reinvent itself continuously as it develops a sound that is artistically intelligent. In its 14-year history, Novo Concertante Manila has competed and won in several international choral competitions. Among which are the 2nd Choir Olympics in Busan, South Korea(2002), the 1st A Voyage of Songs International Chorale Competition in Genting Highlands, Malaysia (2003) and the 23rd Takarazuka International Chamber Choir Competition in Takarazuka, Japan (2007). In 2009, the Choir won the 1st and 2nd Prizes at the 46th Internationaler Chorwettbewerb in Spittalan der Drau, Austria and the 1st Prize at the 55th Certamen International de Habaneras y Polifonia in Torrevieja, Spain. Since then we have recorded with everyone from CHER to Pink and have appeared in commercials, movies and television shows (including Modern Family, ‘I Think You Should Leave’, Ellen, Jimmy Kimmel, The Tonight Show, Jennifer Hudson, etc.). We sang on the #1 song of the year for 2012 (We Are Young by Fun) which has been seen on YouTube over 1 Billion times. Last year we were asked to sing with Eurovision runner up Eden Golan on her song ‘Older” dealing with a child’s view of war.  less

Kako nažalost već drugu godinu zaredom, zbog pandemije koronavirusa, održavanje korizmenih konc...  moreGradski pjevački zbor „Neuma“ iz Drniša u svom širokom repertoaru veliku pozornost posvećuje korizmenim napjevima kojima hrvatska tradicijska baština obiluje. Kako nažalost već drugu godinu zaredom, zbog pandemije koronavirusa, održavanje korizmenih koncerata nije dozvoljeno, odlučili smo izraditi prigodni video program. Korizmeni recital „Via crucis“ sadrži pjesme snimljene u razdoblju od 2012. do 2020. godine. Snimane su na različitim lokacijama (crkva Gospe od Ružarija i crkva svetog Ante u Drnišu, Muzej za umjetnost i obrt u Zagrebu), na koncertima, ali i na zborskim probama u Srednjoj školi Ivana Meštrovića u Drnišu. Najveći dio pjesama je snimljen u crkvi Gospe od Ružarija u Drnišu. Unutrašnjost crkve vidljiva je u kadrovima koji prate pjesmu „Tužno plače“ te ulomke iz korizmenog napjeva „Puna tuge, Majka staše“. Ulomci napjeva „Puna tuge, Majka staše“ snimljeni su u varijanti koja se izvodi u Drnišu u sklopu pobožnosti Križnog puta. Pjesmu „Narode moj ljubljeni“ (trad. Lađevac), uz Neumu pjevaju ...    less
