Come and join us on Tuesday evenings at the Univ...  moreChichester's All Ladies Choir is ready to welcome you to a fun, friendly time, singing contemporary music in harmony. With styles ranging from pop to gospel, we're sure there's something to suit your taste. Come and join us on Tuesday evenings at the University of Chichester, where we rehearse. We aim to give two/three concerts a year – we hope you can be in the next one! We are a group of ladies with ages ranging from early 20s to 50s. We usually run around the school holidays as we have a few mums but can run in the holidays as well if enough people are available. We charge per half term which works out at £5.50 a week when you commit to the whole half term. Please contact us if you would like to come so we can let you know which room we will be in.  less

Charities for 2011 are: The Royal British Legion, Tommy's Charity.

Each Choir member has a different and wide-ranging background in solo, operatic and competitive performance, which enhances the choir’s ability to undertake some of the more challenging choral works and contributes to their fresh and unique sound. The Academy Chamber Choir’s repertoire spans from early to contemporary music. Their most recent success was ranking third in “Irelands Choir of the year” at Cork International Choral Festival 2013. They then went on to win 1st place in the Early Music, 1st place in the Irish Language and 2nd place in the Sacred Music at Navan Choral Festival 2013. In October 2012, the choir was awarded the prestigious title of Choir of the year 2012, a...  moreLes Sirènes is a Glasgow-based female chamber choir consisting of 26 vocalists, all students and graduates of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (formerly RSAMD). In October 2012, the choir was awarded the prestigious title of Choir of the year 2012, after an extensive UK-wide search and a competitive Grand Final held at London's Royal Festival Hall. The ensemble was established in 2007 by present musical director Andrew Nunn and performs regularly across Scotland and beyond, having given concerts in renowned venues such as Glasgow Cathedral, the SECC, Dunkeld Cathedral, Paisley Abbey, the Mackintosh Church, the Queen's Hall, the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall and London’s Cadogan Hall. The choir has also performed in more obscure locations, having “sung on the subway” as part of the Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) promotion of the Glasgow underground.
