It offers a unique opportunity for singers to take part in cathedral services (nOtably the Cathedral's monthly Compline services) concerts in the cathedral (thrice yearly), Other secular events such as livery company dinners and corporate celebrations.

The University School Glee Club is one of the school's oldest organizations dedicated to high quality choral singing and superior musical education for its members. The group performs several concerts each year and has toured throughout North America and Europe.

Zur Zeit bestehen die CHORKIDS ILLERTISSEN aus 56 Sängerinnen und Sänge...  moreBei den CHORKIDS ILLERTISSEN handelt es sich um einen Kinder- und Jugendchor des Gymnasiums Illertissen, der seit September 2001 besteht und einen Auswahlchor dieser Schule darstellt. Zur Zeit bestehen die CHORKIDS ILLERTISSEN aus 56 Sängerinnen und Sängern im Alter von 11 bis 16 Jahren. Mit viel Freude und Engagement proben diese Kinder bzw. Jugendlichen einmal in der Woche je nach Stimmgruppe zwei bis vier Stunden. Fünfmal im Jahr gibt es Intensiv-Probensamstage und einmal im Jahr Intensiv-Probentage im Allgäu. Der Chor hat es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, anspruchsvolle Chorliteratur verschiedener Stilepochen zu interpretieren. Dabei möchte er sich bewusst von vielen Klischees wenig kultivierten, schulchormäßigen Singens distanzieren und ist bei der Programmgestaltung darauf bedacht, dies auch nach außen hin sichtbar und hörbar zu machen. „Popularmusik“ ist Bestandteil, jedoch auf keinen Fall substanzieller Grundsatz der musikalischen Arbeit. Originating from a Leicestershire youth choir and reforming as ...  moreThe Chanterelles performing Gloria by Robert Latham at the 2012 Llangollen International Eisteddfod. Conducted by Dr Shirley Court. The Chanterelles is a ladies choir from all over the UK. Originating from a Leicestershire youth choir and reforming as an adult choir in February 2009, members now come together to perform about five times each year. Having tasted success as a Youth Choir in Llangollen in 1998, the choir returned in their new guise as a Female Choir In July 2010, winning their section and taking their place in the Choir of the World competition. This success was followed by concerts in Macclesfield and Birmingham and a win at the North Wales Choral Festival in November 2011. In 2012, the choir competed in the Fleischmann International Trophy Competition at the Cork Choral Festival and won 2nd prize in this year's International Eisteddfod in Llangollen.
