Written amid travels across the world and shaped by an unexpected love story, the piece touches on deeply human themes such as the sense of belonging, the construction of identity, and the need for community. It doesn’t offer a single answer to the question “What is home?”, but it does trace, with honesty and sensitivity, the path of someone brave enough to begin the search. Ideal for concert programs exploring themes of belonging, humanity, or inner renewal, Looking for Home invites each singer to connect with their own story.  less

The only thing we really knew about him was that he had lived a fairly miserable life. My friend told me how she and two other women had once helped a dying man by holding his feet, letting him know that it was safe to let go. Then we stopped short on the forest road and looked at each other. ‘I think we should hold his feet,’ one of us said. ‘Now?’ ‘We can always try.
