Our choristers' talents and musicality are nurtured, their voices are trained, they are taught correct diction and musical expression. We aid harmonious growth - in terms of both musical and personal development of our vocalists. Alla Polacca Children and Youth Choir is affiliated with the Teatr Wielki/Grand Theatre - Polish National Opera in Warsaw. The Choir consists of 200 choristers performing in four age groups. The Choir was founded three decades ago by Sabina Wlodarska, a recognized music educator and student of maestro Stefan Stuligrosz. In 2014, Anna Bednarska took over from Sabina Wlodarska as Alla Polacca's conductor and artistic director. The Winneba Youth Choir, known to be the number one choral music group in the country was founded in May 1989, under the patronage of Mr. George Mensah-Essilfie and Mr. John Francis Arthur-Yamoah (Paa John). The Choir has progressed steadily to the extent that it is now recognized as the most outstanding Youth Choir of the nation. The Choir was formed in 2002 under the directorship of Ellie Davidoff. Choir membership consists of Youth from the 8th grade through to college age students. Now in their 13th season, this Choir has grown in membership as well as experience. There are still several original members, and every season they are joined by their younger siblings and new friends, who add strength and spirit to the group. The repertoire of the Vision of Peace Youth Choir consists of hymns and folk songs sung in the traditional Doukhobor acapella style that has been passed from generation to generation for over 200 years. The hymns and folk songs as well as the contemporary numbers in their program selection reflect their Doukobor beliefs as well as their steadfast wish for a peaceful existence on this earth.  less

When Odwa Mvunge return to his birth community in 2012, after completing his music education studies at Nelson Mandela University, not much has changed. There still was no place in Zolani for the Youth to express themselves in cultural activities that was not offered at school nor in the community. After school the Youth would loiter around without direction. This lead to the formation of the Zolani Youth Choir. The basic idea and purpose of the Choir is to equip Youth of our community with basic music skills. The Choir consists of 25 scholars from different schools who are between the ages of 12 and 26 years. These scholars have no professional training or background in formal music, but have proven to have a passion and love for the art.
