T...  more"Sanctus" (Ola Gjeilo) is sung by The Central Washington University Chamber Choir (Gary Weidenaar, director). In May, 2013, composer Ola Gjeilo spent 3 days on the Central Washington University Campus, joining the Choir in recording 4 of his pieces. This performance of Gjeilo's "Sanctus" is from that session. The other pieces were "Luminous Night of the Soul", & "Across The Vast, Eternal Sky", accompanied by the composer at the piano and joined by the Kairos Quartet -- the resident faculty string quartet at CWU. The final piece, "Ubi Caritas II: Through Infinite Ages", was recorded both in an unaccompanied rendition (how it is written and published) and in a version with Mr. Gjeilo improvising an accompaniment to the Choir. This was Ola's second time on CWU's campus. His first visit was in the spring of 2011 and yielded 5 videos, a wide-ranging interview with the composer and other bonus material. Lee Chong M...  moreJakarta Festival Chorus (JFC) was initially the Chamber Choir founded by Indra Lazuardi; whose members were the sacred music lovers of Gereja Santapan Rohani Indonesia, Jakarta (The Bread of Life Church of Indonesia). Since the beginning, Rev. Lee Chong Min – a reverend as well as a professor of the School of Church Music, Singapore Bible College – has been appointed to be the Choir master of the Chamber Choir. In 1997, the Choir name was changed to Jakarta Festival Chorus in order to reach out more participants from evangelical churches in Jakarta. Jakarta Festival Chorus is currently under the Music Department of the Communion of Chinese Churches in Indonesia (PGTI). The members now are choristers and sacred music lovers from different churches in Jakarta.
