Joshua's music is beloved by audiences across MN and the upper-Midwest. His music fuses many styles and techniques; Ancient chant, Medieval organum, Russian orthodox liturgy, and the shimmering harmonies of modern choral music, to name a few. Audience members often comment that Josh's music is their favorite part of a From Age to Age concert, or they will ask Josh why we didn't perform another known favorite of theirs that Josh has written. Nice's music is well suited for advanced high-school, collegiate, community and professional choirs. Joshua is accepting commissions for the upcoming 2012-2013 season. If you're interested in commissioning Joshua to write a piece for your group, and/or if you would like to purchase his music, email: joshua_g_nice@hotmail.com or find him on facebook at:

Idris was adamant that there should be a male choir in the Blackwood area and so advertised his intent to the local people. His campaign received a good response and led to a meeting being held by the interested parties with the choir being formed in April of the same year. The design of the Choir's badge has changed a little since then with pupils from the local Libanus Primary School (where the choir used to rehearse) entering a competition to design the new badge which is still in use today.
The Choir has travelled widely over the years performing and raising lots of money for charitable causes wherever it goes. It has appeared in concerts at internationally recognised venues such as The Grand Hall at Eton College, The Royal Albert Hall (a... less

From the beginning our intention was to establish a dialog between Ancient vocal music from the Renaissance and Baroque periods and contemporary music from the 20th and 21st centuries. As the vocal requirements of this aim are very important, we pay special attention to the musical and technical preparation of our programmes, in order to provide high quality performances.
Our repertory includes Ancient and contemporary music and works from composers such as Claudio Monteverdi, William Byrd, Heinrich Schütz, Tomás Luis de Victoria, Thomas Tallis, Vicente Goicoechea, Darius Milhaud, Francis Poulenc, Vytautas Miskinis, Zoltán Kodaly, Samuel Barber, Benjamin Britten, Astor Piazzolla and Marcos Leite.
In Hora Sexta has regularly taken part in the musical series of concerts organized by Madrid town council and other Spanish institutions since 2003. We have been on tour in Canarias, Barcelona, Valencia, Toledo or La Granja de San Ildefonso. We have also taken par... less
