Founded in 1977, the choir has gained a well-deserved reputation for performing neglected and unfamiliar music as well as better known and popular pieces, both sacred and secular. New members are welcome and encouraged to attend three rehearsals before an informal voice appraisal.

Atlantic voices is an amateur choir starting its tenth season wi...  moreAtlantic voices : The Newfoundland and Labrador Choir of Ottawa was founded in the spring of 2002 by soprano Kristina Curren, a Newfoundlander once removed in search of her musical heritage. Atlantic voices is an amateur choir starting its tenth season with a repertoire CONsisting mainly of Newfoundland, Maritime, and Celtic songs and music. The goals of the choir are: to represent and showcase Newfoundland and Maritime music and culture in the Ottawa area; to provide its members with the opportunity to learn, rehearse, and perform choral compositions; and to offer free of charge, musical entertainment to residents of retirement homes, hospitals etc., via in situ community CONcerts. Members of Atlantic voices include singers from the provinces of Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Ontario. Singers and musicians of all backgrounds are invited to join us and explore songs and music from both sides of the Atlantic.  less

Die Mini-voices, die Maxi-voices und The voices. Wir kommen aus Duisburg und proben jeden Donnerstag im Gemeindehaus Beim Knevelshof in DU-Wanheimerort (Minis 17:15, Maxis 18:15, voices 19:15). Da wir immer neue Mitglieder suchen, seid ihr herzlich willkommen, bei einer Probe dabei zu sein und kräftig mitzusingen. :-) The voices is a choir for children (from 4-8), teenagers (from 9-14) and adults, separated in 3 different groups, called Mini-voices, Maxi-voices and The voices.
