We are inviting singers to join us for a 5-month journey of learning great music, creating valuable new relationship with others and sharing our music with others. If you love to sing, please join us. We meet every Tuesday evening from 6pm to 9pm at the Makiki Community of Christ Church at 1666 Mott Smith Dr. There is a small membership fee for participation and we promise that you will enjoy yourself. Himig Batingaw was founded in March of 1979 by members of the Legion of Mary. In the first few years of the choir's existence, they conducted rehearsals at the church belfry; hence the name Himig (melody) and Batingaw (peal of bells) was born. The choir is very influential in the rise and development of choral music in the parish. It has introduced new pieces for liturgical use most of which are composed or arranged for the group and has graduated noted local musicians from its ranks. In the past years, the chorale group has joined different chorale festivals and won in various competitions; namely, Himig ng Kabataan Alay Kay Don Bosco, Forte Chorale Competition in De La Salle – Dasmariñas Cavite, Vivere Hotel and Resorts Annual Chorale Competition, First Grand Chorale Competition in Imus City Mall, Wikawit: Tagisan ng Korong Kabitenyo.
