Combining a rich history of male choir standards with new and unexpected arrangements of contemporary works, this choir delivers beyond expectations. You are as likely to hear a Welsh hymn or folk song as an opera chorus, pop hit, spiritual or contemporary Canadian composition. The Orpheus men are all amateur yet deliver a professional engaging performance from memory. Each performance guarantees an emotional ride through familiar, new, rousing, humorous and classic repertoire. Orpheus annually tours BC to enrich smaller communities with choral entertainment. The choir performs frequently both in Pontypridd and overseas, and has visited Poland, Ireland, the USA and Germany. Links have been forged with Liederkranz Oberensingen, a German male choir from Pontypridd's twin town, Nürtingen. The choir also performs regularly at the National Eisteddfod of Wales and takes part in the HTV male choral competition. The choir is currently broadening and improving its repertoire to provide a wide-ranging concert program. The choir is a member of the National Association of choirs, the Welsh Association of Male choirs and the Welsh Amateur Music Federation, and is a past winner of the HTV Male Choral Competition and at the National Eisteddfod of Wales.  less

The choir s...  moreThe choir of Notre-Dame de Bon Voyage has about 35 members and is the choir of the parish of Cannes, on the French Riviera. It was founded in 1898 by Albert Frommer, organist, and is now conducted by Stephan Nicolay, chapel master, since 1999. The choir sings each sunday and on special occasion in the different churches of Cannes. It also sings 4 to 6 concerts a year, sometimes with an orchestra. His repertory covers all the sacred music from gregorian chant to 21st century. Among the last masterworks done in concert with an orchestra are Requiem (Saint-Saens), Stabat Mater (Haydn), Vesperae Solennes de Confessore (Mozart), Gallia (Gounod), etc. New members are welcome.  less

The choir, which began at Brigham Young University as an early music ensemble, transformed into one of the premier non-collegiate chamber groups in the Western United States. This award-winning ensemble achieves high performance standards by drawing on the rich musical heritage of the region. Many Cantorum singers have solo careers and all have sung with top collegiate ensembles. A number have also sung as members of The Mormon Tabernacle choir, Utah Chamber Artists, and Salt Lake Vocal Artists. In addition, Cantorum is proud to have a high representation of talented choral educators. The group won both of its categories at the 2016 Interkultur competition and received special commendation for their performance of Dale Warland and Hugo Distler. Every year Dziesmuvara takes part in international or national choral competitions. Since 2013 the choir has travelled to Poland, Lithuania, France and Czech Republic and all around Latvia. Dziesmuvara also participates in the Latvian Song Celebration festivals and occasionally teams up with fellow university and youth choirs to sing together in concerts. The more, the merrier!

Founded in 1989 by Mr. Albert Morland to provide an opportunity for ex-members of the Wonderboom High School choir to continue singing together after matriculating, it has since evolved to include members from a broader community that come from various backgrounds and professions (including law, accounting, nursing, teaching and IT) and are between 18 and 65 years of age. The choir has toured and performed across South Africa during the past 30 years and has an established reputation as a warm, friendly and “no-fuss” group with good choral sound who are just as comfortable performing at nursing homes and other charitable events as they are performing alongside the best choirs in the world on International stages, for instance, at the 10th World choir Games in 2018, where they took home a silver medal (79.5%) in the champion’s category for mixed adult choirs.
