Directed by David Skinner, Alamire has embarked on an ambitious ten year 30-disc project to record a library of early English Choral music. Skinner’s performing editions will be published by Edition Peters. He is also guest blogger on renaissance repertoire for Eric Whitacre.

Luis Oquendo y su esposa Pilar León de Oquendo, de querer llevar música Coral de alto nivel a todos Los espacios, entornos y estratos posibles, comenzando con un grupo de familiares y amigos músicos haciendo un número total de 8 integrantes, de allí su nombre: Octavia Cantorum o lo que es igual al español: Ocho Cantando. Con el tiempo, ésta agrupación tuvo la necesidad de ir creciendo porque las exigencias del repertorio así lo requería, actualmente cuenta con más integrantes de diferentes profesiones la cual comparten con la pasión por la música. Desde su formación hasta el día de hoy Octavia Cantorum ha participado de diversos encuentros y festivales corales en la región tales como UN CANTO EN PASCUA, ENCUENTRO CORAL URBE, ENCUENTRO CORAL CORBANCA, TUVIMOS UNA PARTICIPACIÓN ESPECIAL CON LA AGRUPACIÓN ONE VOICES y el más reciente fue un concierto realizado por la coral donde tuvimos la participación de músicos reconocidos de la reg...    less

Pre...  moreEnsemble quartonal: Beati Mortui (Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy) Das "Ensemble quartonal" wurde im Jahr 2006 von vier ehemaligen Mitgliedern der Chorknaben Uetersen gegründet. Im Mai 2010 konnte das junge Quartett beim Deutschen Chorwettbewerb den 1. Preis in der erstmals ausgeschriebenen Kategorie der klassischen Ensembles gewinnen und wurde damit über die Landesgrenzen hinaus bekannt. Diese Aufnahme stammt von einem Konzert im Lübecker Dom.

Every year Dziesmuvara takes part in international or national Choral competitions. Since 2013 the choir has travelled to Poland, Lithuania, France and Czech Republic and all around Latvia. Dziesmuvara also participates in the Latvian Song Celebration festivals and occasionally teams up with fellow University and youth choirs to sing together in concerts. the more, the merrier!
