We are a group of friends who got to know each other while singing in the same academic or Chamber choirs. Eventually, our passion for the cLassical music led us to create our own vocal ensemble. In our repertoire there are also some pop music arrangements.

The group works mostly acapella but has also performed in other styles, such as big band. The group's repertoire ranges from Israeli folk to American jazz and British pop. The emphasis always being on tight harmony, even balance and a clear unit sound. The Yakinton Octet is truly a singer's group, consisting of eight friends who work as a democratic group with no professional conductor.
