Celebrating world music and arts Promoting multi-cultural awareness Supporting children's health and education projects in The Gambia, West Africa As well as hosting an annual World Musicand Arts Festival and the choir we also run a weekly West African Drumming workshop. Both groups enjoy performing at our own and other local community events and festivals.

We also feature an eclectic orchestra with instruments from a variety of cultures including but not limited to strings, brass, percussion, taiko, sitar, and more!

Completed in 1997, the piece was inspired by the MS Estonia disaster of 1994. It won third prize in the European composition competition for cathedral choirs in 1997. The text of the piece is taken from three sources: the Catholic Requiem Mass, Psalm 107: "They that go down to the sea in ships...", and the report of the disaster from the weekly Latin-language Finnish news service, Nuntii Latini. M'ANAM is one of the most exciting new vocal ensembles to emerge in recent years, growing naturally from the ground-breaking choral group ANÚNA. formed in 2017, the members come from the island of Ireland and beyond, encompassing a huge range of musical e...  moreM'ANAM is one of the most exciting new vocal ensembles to emerge in recent years, growing naturally from the ground-breaking choral group ANÚNA. formed in 2017, the members come from the island of Ireland and beyond, encompassing a huge range of musical experiences. The musical connection of the group to Ireland is deep and spans all the traditions present here. The songs and texts date back as far as the Viking raids on Ireland in the 9th century, through to music created by the men themselves under the direction of their Artistic Director Michael McGlynn. This year the group release their debut album, "M'ANAM" in the Autumn, and are featured artists on the opening track "Clarity" of the latest album by acclaimed Japanese jazz-rock ensemble Mouse on the Keys whose 3rd album "tres" was released this May to universal acclaim. Their first digital single "Bandó Ribineann" is released this June.  less
