Ely's traditional male choir Is made up of 22 boy chorIsters and 6 Lay Clerks (gentleman singers). Services are sung daily, and the Choir Is in constant demand for many extra concerts and recitals. We want to preserve thIs extraordinary tradition for future generations to enjoy. Of course, maintaining thIs wonderful music tradition costs money - currently £350,000 a year. Very much (but not exclusively) in the barbershop stlye. Even though we have only been going a few months, our numbers have been increasing weekly as more and more people are seduced by the magical sound of ringing chords. We aim to be a serious performing chorus in due course. We have had a very successful 2012 and hope for even better in 2013 where we have a whole host of exciting things planned. Stay tuned!
