We sing widely around our own region in France but are looking to exchange with a Choir further afield in the near future.

Our ethos: CONTEXT Historical, social and environmental contexts of music, and the influence of these on performance, will be central to rehearsals and concerts. they will define the themes of our repertoire each year. COLLABORATION Based in Leeds, the Choir has numerous opportunities to collaborate with other ensembles, composers and charities to promote and support musicians throughout the North. We hope to work with a variety of musicians to develop quality and future collaboration within the Choir. COMMUNICATION No music?! Yes, we will perform without sheet music in concerts. BUMC Jazz Choir 2008 Members, the winners of the IKSV Young Jazz 2008, who have boosted their success by attending to the most prestigious a cappella contest in the world, 'Vokal Total', in both pop and jazz categories and won 2 'Silver Diplom's and also have sung many times in many festivals such as the 15th International Istanbul Jazz Festival and the Akbank 18th Jazz Festival. they also gave special concerts with Sertab Erener (ESC 2003 winner). the group carries on with their professional musical careers under the name “Istanbul Essence”.
