Come experience the joy of Latin American music through Choral singing! Amazonia Vocal Ensemble was founded in 2007 by Dr. Cristian Grases, and debuted on Nov. 30 of that year at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Miami. The ensemble rehearses weekly and is comprised of volunteer musicians, both professional and amateur. The ensemble has performed throughout Miami-Dade and Broward counties, as well in Naples in 2009 & 2012, Puerto Rico in 2010, and most recently in Washington DC in 2015. The repertoire performed by Amazonia Vocal Ensemble is typically in Spanish but also in other American languages and original dialects such us Portuguese (Brazil), Papiamento (Aruba-Curazao), Quechua (Perú) and Chiquitano (Bolivia) among others.  less

Its activities soon expanded and now include a regular concert programme, weddings and services throughout Staffordshire and the West Midlands, and guest appearances at other cathedrals. The Choir has a versatile repertoire of sacred and secular music ranging from the Renaissance to the contemporary, and it enjoys the challenge of new and experimental writing. Bray Choral Society is a successful choir performing a wide range of Choral works including major works by Handel, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Vivaldi, Mendelssohn and Rossini, along with short concerts and recitals including Byrd, Bach, Elgar, Stanford an...  moreBray Choral Society is a successful choir performing a wide range of Choral works including major works by Handel, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Vivaldi, Mendelssohn and Rossini, along with short concerts and recitals including Byrd, Bach, Elgar, Stanford and also works by composers of the 20th and 21st centurys such as Orff, Rutter, Bodley, De Barra, Jenkins, Goodall, Whitacre, Gjeilo and Blackford. We have taken part in many Choral competitions around Ireland with Success in New Ross, Arklow, Navan, Sligo and Cork. In 2013 we joined Wide Open Music in a performance of Beethoven's 9th Symphony, which was received with great enthusiasm. In the same year we also joined Opera Theatre Company for two performances in their tour to promote young Irish soloists. In recognition of the millennium year and augmented by local choirs from around the country, we performed the Verdi Requiem to great acclaim in both Bray and Arklow.
