Overtone singing is a new vocal technique that allows for singing two tones simultaneously. EOC sings compositions with written overtones as well as choir improvisations and contemporary music. The effect of controlled overtones on the timbre of classical choir compositions is explored with special ear training.

For this piece, “Space In Between Us,” it occurred to me that as the community chorus of Chapel Hill, it seemed appropriate to feature images of familiar spaces/places in and around Chapel Hill. We wanted to give deference to St. Thomas More and University Methodist, as they have been so gen... less
