We are made up of 3 different choirs - Mixed Chorus, Treble Choir, and Concert Choir. All of our members are students at Port Huron Northern High School and range from 13-18 years of age. We all share a Love of music and create joy through singing together.

The group was set up to perform exciting vocal material at a variety of events, and to give men and women who Love singing, the platform to get involved in a fun and sociable musical experience. The Voice Of The Town family has now grown and not only do we have our choir in Newcastle, but we now have choirs in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Birmingham.

The group was formed in 1976 by women who shared a common interest in the complex harmonies and compelling rhythms typical in Balkan music. The Avalonian Free State Choir is an unaccompanied natural voice choir with a repertoire of songs from all around the world, including salsa vocal percussion, the awe-inspiring stillness of Sacred songs from Georgia and the heartbreaking melodies from Bulgaria.

We have recently launched the John Hanson Community Choir. Open to all ages across the community of Andover and beyond. Come and join us and join in with the fun and Love of singing together. Every Thursday evening 6-8 pm at John Hanson Community School - Andover
