Members of the choir come from the multi-cultured community around ...  moreAbout the BAVE Chamber CHOIR The BAVE Chamber CHOIR is focus group formed out of the BAVE Community Choir in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia in 2017 to participate in music festivals and events. Members of the choir come from the multi-cultured community around the Klang Valley. The BAVE Chamber choir is part of the BAVE Community Choir. BAVE Community Choir was launched in 2015 as part of BTSM’s outreach to the community. Both the Community and Chamber choirs are part of the Broadway Theater Society Malaysia’s activity groups. Members of the Chamber Choir will have to first be part of the main Community Choir. The BTSM is a non-profit organization, formed to promote performing arts in Malaysia by the community, for the community. BAVE maintains a strong policy that “Everyone Can Sing”. The tagline for BAVE is “NO AUDITION & NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED”. The choir is non-auditioned but members who join will have to commit to rehearsals and group activities. Over the years the Choir has sung with many leadi...  moreSouth Devon Choir is a large, non-audition, mixed voice choir. We rehearse on Thursday nights at St Pauls Church Hall, Locarno Road (off Torquay Road), Preston, Paignton starting at 7.30pm until 9.30pm. Over the years the Choir has sung with many leading amateur and professional orchestras including the Royal Philharmonic and Bournemouth Symphony Orchestras, the Bristol Symphony, the Bands of HM Grenadier Guards, Household Cavalry and Royal Marine Commandos, Lympstone. Nearly all the historical oratorios, cantatas and choral works have been performed at concerts as well as 20th century compositions. The Choir has visited France four times including the Quimper Music Festival, has hosted choirs from Holland, France and the USA and created links with societies in Cornwall, Devon, Gloucestershire and North Yorkshire. The Choir has actively encouraged local school choirs to participate in works which include parts written specially for young people.  less
