As Australia’s pre-eminent co-educational children’s Choir, AYC is committed to providing young singers aged seven years old to senior high school years, with vocal tuition, performance and learning experiences that encourage the enjoyment of singing and learning music, teamwork, good communication and self-esteem. For many years the blue and gold robes of the Australian Youth Choir have featured at cultural events that shape our nation. The Australian Youth Choir has a rich tradition in choral music education, educating thousands of choristers throughout Australia. Choir Lesson Program Choir and singing lessons follow a set choral curriculum structure to develop the following skills on a weekly basis: Choral repertoire Sight singing / memory training Voice production Breathing techniques Performance and stagecraft skills Lessons also include rehearsal of selected music for two annual performances.  less

Members come from Balfron, Killearn, Drymen, Kippen, Aberfoyle and further afield. We rehearse in Balfron Church on Monday nights at 7.30. We are under the musical direction of Mark Evans, and perform publicly at both Christmas and Spring.

Udiana is unusual on the Israeli scene, has appeared on some of the best stages in the country, and is praised highly by the audiences. The Choir sings mainly a capella, with an emphasis on current music, and integrates improvisation, drumming, and movement. Udiana has been supported by the Ministry for Culture and Sport since 2012. We aim to express processes in human development, so we build our programs around subjects that we research from different angles, including “Prayer”, “Song of the Earth”, “Peace”, and “Water”. In 2016 we created a program called “Silence” in collaboration with the Israeli Brass Quintet. In 2017 the subject was “My Soul Returns to the Fire”, where we explored the quality of fire in our lives. Its members have participated in many major music events, such as oratorio performances dedicated to Pope John Paul II or a concert directed by Enio Morricone during the Solidarity Festival. Six Degree singers has featured in events all around the D.C.-metro area, including the Silver Spring Loy Krathong Thai Festival and the Chesapeake-Potomac Invitational Bonspiel, an annual curling event, and was recently selected to perform in the closing concert of the Kennedy Center's National Choral Festival in 2014. Founded in 1977, the Choir has gained a well-deserved reputation for performing neglected and unfamiliar music as well as better known and popular pieces, both sacred and secular. New members are welcome and encouraged to attend three rehearsals before an informal voice appraisal.
