It was Mr. Bonnie Fonseka, a distinguished Old Boy, who's vision soon came to be a Benedictine tradition, by forming a musical club. This prompted the birth of the first College Choir. the Choir acquired a reputation for top class singing and in addition often invited to perform at important national events such as to perform with other schools when princess Elizabeth visited Ceylon in 1952. Since Mr. Bonnie Fonseka’s retirement there were many dedicated young musicians who undertook the responsibility and uphill task of training the Choir. Some of them were Mr. Robert Joseph, Mr. Francis De Almeida, Mr. Nicholas Johnpulle, Rev Bro. Augustine and Mr. Ravein George. Mr. Ravein George revived the Choir in 1996 and guided them to reach the height of success as being cited as a Classical Choir. the Choir won the all island singing competition in the year 1999. the Choir of recent times is being Directed by a student of Ravien George and current...    less

It was originally formed by Ben Camaso as JCSV Chorale, a name patterned in accordance to the Jaime Cardina...  morethe Munting Himig Chorale (MHC) had its humble beginning way Back on the fifth day of January, year 2005 and started with not more than 15 members. It was originally formed by Ben Camaso as JCSV Chorale, a name patterned in accordance to the Jaime Cardinal Sin Village Community, which in that time was newly constructed, located at Punta. Sta. Ana, Manila, where the parish is situated. Before, they compose of only girls, singing melody of the songs of the Holy Mass. A year passed, Virgilio Deloso handled the choir, and divided the girls into two voices, the Sopranos and Altos. It was not so long that the group acquired male participants filling up all the voice sections of a chorale. Shortly after, JCSV Chorale was then disbanded to give rise to what they now call the Munting Himig Chorale, having more than 20 god-endearing and angelic-voiced youth of Punta. We aim to be the most ent...  moreAlthough we only became the City of Truro Male Choir in 2003, we can trace our singing forefathers Back to two local village choirs formed in the 1940s. these were Chacewater & District Male Choir and Carnon Vale Male Choir. We aim to be the most entertaining male voice choir in the South West and for the City of Truro to be proud of us. the ethos of the choir is to have fun and enjoy singing. Each year we host a visiting choir and also spend a weekend away. We are a registered charity, and our current membership is over 50.We give approximately a dozen concerts a year  less
