Student membership includes students from all disciplines that love to sing and enjoy camaraderie through great music. It is intended to provide a foundation in area of Vocal technique while achieving a High standard of excellence in repertoire selected from all periods and musical styles. This ensemble is offered every fall and spring semester.

We are resident at St. Matthew's parish church in Chapel Allerton. We rehearsal three times a month, on a Friday evening and sing four services a month, including Evensong on the first Sunday of every month. We also often host come and sing days and various workshops, our two most recent projects have been on Buxtehude's Membra Jesu Nostri and Mozart's Requiem. The BASC has been performing on a regular basis on each of Broadway Academy’s Showcase that is held at the e...  moreAbout the BROADWAY ACADEMY SHOW CHOIR The Broadway Academy Show Choir (BASC) started in 2011 by the Broadway Academy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The BASC has been performing on a regular basis on each of Broadway Academy’s Showcase that is held at the end of each academic term. Performers of the BASC start from the age from age of 13 and to a maximum age of 28 years old. BASC performs according to a certain theme for each performance. This year for the BICF2018, the BASC has chosen the theme of Hamilton, from the award winning Broadway Musical Hamilton. BASC is under the Vocal direction of Dr Casey Broadway and choreography under Ms Nana Eddy. The BASC is modeled after the American Show Choir whereby choristers have to undergo both Vocal and choreography training. The choir has been invited to perform in New York, Los Angeles, Florida and Michigan. BASC hopes that the American Tour will be a reality soon. The choir itself is composed of students, staff, faculty, and members of the Twin Cities community. Over the years, the choir’s repertoire has included performances of: Britten’s Rejoice in the Lamb, The Requiems of Brahms and Mozart, Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms, and others. Auditions held every August and January.
