Other age group sessions will follow. No auditions, no fundraising and once a week rehearsals to fit busy schedules. ​The Choir rehearsals will teach vocal technique, voice production and projection, learning to sing in two part harmony, movement and rhythm, help build confidence, solo singing opportunities, performances and overall to have fun singing!! Repertoire will include popular chart songs, disney, Music theatre and other genres.  less

It was the official Choir of the Masaryk University in Brno between 1999 and 2003. Since then it has continued as a civic Association. In 2003 Štěpán Policer took up the artistic leadership of Gaudeamus, since 2007 Dáša Karasová has been leading the Choir. The Choir has been undoubtedly contributing to the advancement of Brno Musical culture by giving concerts and appearing at benefit events annually. While the majority of the singers are undergraduate Music majors, membership is open to all students at the university through an audition process. The group has achieved an impressive reputation of excellence, having been chosen each of the last twenty years to perform at conventions or festivals around the country: the Pennsylvania Music Educators State Conference; the Eastern Division Music Educators National Conference; the Music Educators National Convention; the American Choral Directors Association Pennsylvania State Conference, and the ACDA Eastern Division Convention. The Choir is renowned on the international stage as well, representing the US at competitions and festivals around the world. Currently numbering 18 singers, FCC has a broad repertoire featuring everything from early Music and traditional pieces to the works of contemporary composers such as Whitacre, Pärt, Lauridsen and McMillan, and is highly regarded at home and abroad. In 2011, we travelled to Trondheim, Norway, to take part in Sangforening, a major festival featuring hundreds of Norwegian Choirs, and were the first ever foreign Choir invited to take part. 2012 saw us visit Languedoc, France, where we gave concerts in beautiful old churches in Alzonne and Montréal, near Carcassonne. We are active in radio and television, having featured in many broadcasts of recorded and live services by the Irish national broadcaster RTE, including one recorded in Swords CoI church which was broadcast on Christmas day, 2010 and Easter and Advent services in 2012 and 2013.
