The group is formerly known as Chorus Leviticus, from the word "Frisco" it means San Francisco Del Monte, it is a small town founded by our patron San Pedro Bautista during 1590, the group is comprised of mostly students, out of school youth, young professionals and music enthusiast from the Parish Youth and Music Ministry of Archdiocesan Shrine of Santuario De San Pedro Bautista in Quezon City,which is also known as one of the oldest church in the Philippines and the provincial house of the Franciscans. As our patron saint San Pedro Bautista, a Franciscan missionary, a saint who lived in our community, and who was the first missionary to teach liturgical music to local children and organized church choirs in the Philippines. We are living with his mission and envision ourselves with his aspiration, by offering our God given talents, and exploring our talents in different genres of music. From its very beginning in October 16, 1956 and until now, it is made up exclusively of male students and graduates of National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (former Moscow Engineering Physics Institute). The choir’s directors have traditionally been exclusively women — talented choirmasters who represented the classical Russian choral school. The repertoire of the MEPhI Male Choir includes practically all genres of choral music: Russian and Western classics and spiritual music, opera choruses, works by modern composers, Russian folksongs, and some popular songs of the Soviet era.  less
