However, he managed to leave a lot of song harmonizations and a ...  more Aghias Triados Children's Choir was established in 1967 by a talented young musician, Theodore Papakonstantinou (1948-1969), who had time only to install the foundations of the Choir. However, he managed to leave a lot of song harmonizations and a significant Mass, which is sung by the choir in the Aghias Triados church of Thessaloniki. From 1969 till now, the Choir continues its work successfully having as its director his elder brother Vassilis Papakonstantinou, with whom it has given many concerts in more than fifty cities in Greece and aboard, as well. It has visited Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerlandn, Hungary, Czech, Bulgaria, France etc. It has won first prices and gold metals in choir competitions. One of the most important parts of Aghias Triados Children's Choir's history is its participation with European Union Youth Orchestra and Vienna's Youth Choir, to the performance (Athens, 1985) of the third Symphony of Leonard Bernstein under the direction of the composer.  less

Himig Batingaw was founded in March of 1979 by group of graduating students of Imus Institute to sing for That year's baccalaureate mass. In the first few years of the choir's existence, they conducted rehearsals at the church belfry; hence the name Himig (melody) and Batingaw (peal of bells) was born. The choir is very influential in the rise and development of choral music in the parish and having introduced new pieces for liturgical use most of which are composed or arranged for the group and having graduated noted local musicians from its ranks. The choir began to tread new ground under the directorship of Mr. Edward Gerodias in the late 1980's then on to Mr. Rey Roland Bergado in the late 1990's, both sought after pianists. This period witnessed a string of successful concerts, and a Grand Prize at the first Paskuhan sa Imus Choral Competition.
