Angell Family Foundation, as well as gifts from the general public, and the 19/19/19 Campaign. ​We are the House Ensemble of The Rockville Bach Academy, Inc, a non-profit organization chartered in Maryland. Founded in 2011 by conductor Richard Allen Roe, the group first took the name The Advent Project, owing to the Advent repertoire performed on their first Concert. The group has since explored a wide range of repertoire, from Renaissance to Romantic era a cappella music, with a strong emphasis on the cantatas of Johann Sebastian Bach. ​Along with their Concert performances, ChorSymphonica has developed a unique Concert experience, called Conversation Concerts. Philomela has become one of the most Highly regarded choirs in Finland. Marjukka Riihimäki has acted as the choir´s conductor since it was established in 1984. Philomela is one of the most original choirs in Finland. It is a group of 40 unprejudiced, music-loving women who together form a graceful, polyphonic musical instrument. The choir performances are intensive and surprising experiences which combine theatrical elements to music. Philomela’s rehearsals are held in Helsinki but the choir gives several Concerts per year all over Finland as well as abroad.
