Although we are a Welsh male voice Choir, we are able to perform music in...  moreWe have a varied repertoire of songs to suit all tastes and, from the very many letters of appreciation and thanks we receive, we clearly achieve our aim of audience entertainment. Although we are a Welsh male voice Choir, we are able to perform music in English; French; German; Latin and even the Zulu Xhosa dialect.  

We are a medium size Choir of about 50 members who perform classical music, mainly baroque, classical and 20th century periods. We give several major concerts each year, mostly in Wellington.

Formed by Graham Taylor in 1983 as The New Glasgow Singers, a small group of passionate choral singers looking to take on some of the less well-known works in the choral repertoire, it has grown into an organisation that has around 100 members singing a wide range of musical genres but still with the core wish to seek out and perform the less familiar pieces. We perform a regular series of concerts each year: the details for the current season can be seen here. The range of music includes serious classical works, programmes of choral classics, West End musical pieces and the lighter popular music included in our annual Christmas Cracker concert. Our full repertoire can be seen in our list of past concerts. Some notable highlights have been Walton’s Belshazzar’s Feast, Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis, Berlioz’s Grande Messe des Morts and Mahler’s Eighth Symphony - the Symphony of a Thousand.  less
