The choirs are famous in Kingston and beyond for joyful concerts full of non-traditional staging, diverse repertoire and singing demonstrating great skill and enthusiasm. Cantabile now includes six choirs and over 250 voices, performing music which engages and entertains at every event. From The beginning, Cantabile has provided musical education for choristers and audiences through this high standard of performance and quality choral literature. They were also declared World Champions in two of The categories after achieving The highest number of points in These two categories. The once eleven member team is now down to nine members and are working hard to retain The level of excellence which enabled Them to win in Austria. The Chamber Choir forms The core of Cantilon’s touring and recording program and participates in many exciting and unique activities throughout The year. The Chamber Choir performs locally in concert at least four times per season, and competes in music festivals at local, provincial and national levels. The Chamber Choir generally follows a three-year touring cycle: a regional tour in year One, national tour in year two, and an international tour every third year.
