The Surrey Children's Choir family represents 3 Choirs, a Junior Training Choir, an Intermediate Training Choir, and The Senior Surrey Children's Choir. The "family" also includes older levels, a treble chamber Choir, a mixed young adult chorus...  moreThe Surrey Children's Choir family represents 3 Choirs, a Junior Training Choir, an Intermediate Training Choir, and The Senior Surrey Children's Choir. The "family" also includes older levels, a treble chamber Choir, a mixed young adult chorus, and a community adult chorus. The Junior and Intermediate Training Choirs (JTC and ITC) provide a program of sequentially developed skills which prepare choristers for admission into The Surrey Children's Choir. The training Choirs perform annually at The Family Christmas Concert and Year End Concert (held in May of each year). They also often compete at The Fraser Valley Kiwanis Music Festival, always with great results. The training Choirs may also perform at various events in The community. The SCC, a treble-voice Choir of Boys and girls aged 12-18 is a consistent gold medal winner at local festivals, hailed by Gerald Van Wyck, Vancouver Community College professor as "one of The best children's Choirs in Canada". The members of The Choir are professional musicians. Until now, The Choir took part in The projects of The National Theater and The Opera House of Bitola (Heraclea and Likini and Fiddler on The roof); Choir seminar in Solun (Greece);many whole Concerts and participation in humanitarian conserts. On our programme are represented all type of Choir music, accapela and music with instruments.  

Formed in November 2005, The Choir has performed around England, Wales, parts of France and Germany. Members of The Choir also run a training Choir to train oTher Choirs to perform Gospel music. To date They have travelled to Cornwall, Devon, Derbyshire, Wales, France and Germany. The whole Choir is mixed, with approximately 50 singers and performs around 30 times a year.
