The World Youth Choir session 2012 was held in Cyprus from August 7th to September 1st, 2012 thanks to The cooperation between The Foundation World Youth Choir and The Cyprus Symphony Orchestra Foundation - Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra, supported by The Ministry of culture and education - Cyprus presidency of The European Union (cultural events in 2012).
The World Youth Choir had a chance to perform a cappella and vocal-instrumental repertoire touring Cyprus. less

We are girls who become like family through our shared passion for music. Each member auditioned by our Choirmaster, andre van der Merwe, and attends Stellenberg High School. Our repertoire consists mainly of Gospel, Acapella, Classical, Folk/Ethnic, and Sacred music.
We compete in various national and international competitions and strive to share beautiful music with The world while being cultural ambassadors for our country.
Achievements:
- Overall winners of The "ATKV Nasionale Applous-kompetisie" for 12 times (1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011).
- In 2002 They won The category for Women's Choirs at The Llangollen International Eisteddfod in Wales.
- In 2004, we were awarded The highest percentage for any Choir at The World Choir Olympics.
- In 2006 we won The much acclaimed Choir of The World trophy in Llangollen Wales.

The establishment of The chorus is to build a platform for The Youth to promote Choral music and realize Their dreams, as well as to organize different cultural exchange activities to promote music and serve The society.
In The summer of 2011, HKVC held Their debut Concert “Sing Out a Dream” in The Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall to raise funds to support The charitable work of The Lions Club of Central. In 2012, The chorus organized and performed five shows of a grand scale original Youth Choral musical “Like. So?”. The musical received positive comments and The chorus was even invited by renowned pianist Ms. Nancy Loo to an interview and performance in her RTHK 4 Radio Program “Cantilena”. In 2013, The chorus started planning to register Themselves as a non-profit charitable organization and held a fundraising Concert called “One Heart, One Voice”.
