The Sierra Boys Choir is the new revival of the Sierra Boys Choir in the 1970s, which was active in the Reno/Sparks/Carson City area and directed by Stan Burke. When Mr. Burke joined the Mario Singers and left to move to Long Beach, CA, the Choir was disbanded and a hole was left in the local arts and culture scene. The revival of the Choir is a project (and passion) of Nathan Lundholm. Our goal is to provide Musical and artistic opportunities to the boys while teaching them to be generous and thankful members of the local and global community. We put all volunteers through a background check, and we ask some degree of participation from parents. The Sierra Boys Choir is a 501c3 non-profit corp. All donations and contributions are tax-deductible. Mission Statement: A non-profit Musical ensemble for boys based in Reno, Nevada, the Sierra Boys Choir pr...    less

Made of young singers between the ages of 17 and 26 from different nationalities, the World Youth Choir is a remarkable educational and social experience through different vocal traditions at the highest artistic level. The World Youth Choir is a really original social and artistic project. Artistically speaking, it is a unique experience for young singers to develop their Musical and vocal talents by interacting with internationally recognized conductors and challenging repertoires in a professional level. Socially speaking, the World Youth Choir contributes to the raising of new generations of “Citizens of the World”. Thanks to having the chance of working and living together each summer or winter, a mixture of over 30 nationalities and cultures, an international networking that last even after the session is over, this young adults learn to be more opened, more comprehensive, tolerant and respectful with the other no...    less
