The Heart of Scotland Junior Chorus started in August 2011. We currently have 45 members and working towards our first concert in December. If you are aged between 7yrs old and 15yrs old, live in the Forth Valley area and love to sing, please get in touch!

The poem has a clear structure (verse – Chorus), and the vocal parts are kept straightforward. The striking piece contains some jazzy chords and humorously unexpected twists. This work won the first prize in the 2013 Composition Competition of the European Choral Association in the frame of the festival Youth Choirs in Movement.

Under the direction of Diana Clark since 2009, Children’s Choir consists of caring young musicians from diverse cultural heritages, ages 9-15 years old. Storytelling, joy of singing, connection and flexibility of performance are the core values of this group. The choir also loves to work with guest conductors and share with other choirs. They have recently been guest singers with Vancouver Chamber Choir. These dynamic and talented singer...  moreThe SYC was formed in 1998, as Children's choir singers grew and voices changed! This four part Chorus (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass) is devoted to music of all styles, including Classical, Broadway and Contemporary tunes. These dynamic and talented singers range in age from 14-25, and include young women in gr.11 and higher, and young men with changed voices. The SYC annually participates in the Family Christmas Concert, and choreographed year end show. They also stage an Orchestra concert each spring, which has presented pieces such as Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass, Vivaldi's Gloria, and Requiems by Mozart, Faure, Rutter, and Daley, to name a few. This year, the SYC looks forward to singing Carl Orff's Carmina Burana. The Youth Chorus joined the senior and chamber choirs in their 2009 tour to the UK. They were ecstatic to receive 8th place standing in the Mixed Voices category at a festival that boasts participants from over 50 different countries. We have performed on BBC Radio London, at Wembley Stadium, and recorded an advert at studios where Harry Potter and Shrek were made. We meet on Wednesdays, 4.30-5.30pm in NW3, and there are no auditions. We sing a wide variety of music, including classical, Disney, musical theatre, rock, pop and music from around the world. After a £20 three-week trial (not an audition, just to see if your child enjoys the choir), the fee is £10 for each remaining week of term (siblings 25% off, discount available if you have concerns about paying).
