Nach Graz waren auch Die Sängerinnen und Sänger unseres Gospelchor...  moreHerzlichen Glückwunsch Gospelchor Rejoice: Die 5. World Choir Games Graz 2008 sind der größte Wettbewerb in der Geschichte der Chormusik. Es waren rund 441 Ensembles aus 93 Nationen dabei. Nach Graz waren auch Die Sängerinnen und Sänger unseres Gospelchores Rejoice mit ihrem Leiter, unserem Kirchenmusiker und Küster Roland Orthaus gefahren. Und sie siegten! Rejoice holte eine von nur 6 Silber-Medaillen, Die an Deutschland vergeben wurden. Für Rejoice bedeutet das, dass sie "Deutscher Meister" und "Vize-Europameister" in der Kategorie „Gospel/Spiritual" geworden sind.  less

Die fließenden Rhythmen in Christina Georgina Rossettis Gedicht führen wie von selbst zu einer melodischen Vertonung. Die Sopran- und Tenorstimmen wechseln sich ab, indem sie jeweils Die MeloDie der Strophen 1 bzw. 2 singen, während Die anderen Stimmen beschwingt und jazzig begleiten.
