Its mission is to enrich, inspire, motivate and engage the children, not only of the Church, but the entire Barracks community in sacred songs among other value oriented musical works which have positive, uplifting and inspirational messages. It's the group's vision to inspire a life-long love for good music and Church leadership in the young singers through the pursuit and enjoyment of musical and other artistic excellence.
Children from ages 6 to 18 residing in Accra with consent from guardians are given the opportunity to join through auditioning. Its membership currently stands at 65.
The choir sings during communion and lead congregational singing during Sunday School anniversary. It organises celebration musical programmes including Nativity musicals, parents' days' celebration and children's choral festivals.

The Berlin Girls‘ choir has won many awards. It was most recently awarded the OPUS KLASSIK in 2021 for the music film „STIMMENÜBERLEBEN“ (Anne Frank: A Living Voice) and the „Kinderchorlandpreis“ of the Deutsche Chorjugend for very good children‘s choir work. The choir also won several first prizes at the German choir Competition and at international competitions in Warsaw/Poland, Venice/Italy, Helsingborg/Sweden, Neerpelt/Belgium, the Harmony Festival in Limburg, the Johannes Brahms Festival in Wernigerode and the Vienna World Piece Choral Festival.

Its creative efforts and dynamic development in 1999 permitted the choir under the sponsorship of t... moreThe POKROFF (translation: Protection of the Virgin Mary) Chamber choir was set up in 1993 by its director and trumpeter Andrey Goryachev as a Church choir. Its creative efforts and dynamic development in 1999 permitted the choir under the sponsorship of the Voice of Russia Radio Company to record its first CD – “Divinity in Sound”.
Two more CDs were recorded in 2003 and 2005, devoted to Christmas and Easter. Since 2000 the choir began touring not only in Russia but also abroad, visiting Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, France, Italy, Ukraine, Moldavia, Croatia, Montenegro, BiH and Estonia.
The choir also took part in television shows in Russia and abroad, such as in the “Bregenzer Advent” in 2002. Apart from regular concerts and recordings, the choir also minds it spiritual roots, regularly taking part in Church services, both routine and special ceremonial, such as Episcopal services at which it frequently performs.
