The mon Yough Chorale is a non-sectarian group of singers. We perform for many organizations in and around the Western Pennsylvania area. Anyone wishing to sing is welcome and invited to come to a rehearsal prior to committing to the group. We perform for many organizations in and around the Western Pennsylvania area. Anyone wishing to sing is welcome and invited to come to a rehearsal prior to committing to the group. No auditions are necessary. We also sing in a yearly competition called Saengerfest held in June each year. Members chorus' are: Altoona, Williamsport, Reading, Lebanon and mon Yough. Each chorus hosts the competition on a rotating basis. Rehearsals are held each Sunday at Sampsons MIlls Presbyterian Church at 1665 Lincoln Way in White Oak, PA 15131 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The mon Yough Chorale was formerly known as the mon Yough Community Singers. The mon Yough Chorale has a long history in the mon Valley. The organization started as The McKeesport Choraliers in 1962 merging with the White Oak Community Singers in 2001 becoming the mon Yough Community Singers.
