I'm curious what other community choral groups charge for admission to your Concert. We currently charge $25 for adults but are reevaluating that price since members of our board feel it is too high. Thanks for your input!

Cantate performed at the Royal Albert Hall, both in the BBC and Schools Prom Concerts, the Royal FeStival Hall, the Barbican, the Guildhall London, 10 Downing Street, St Paul’s Cathedral, the Basilica of St Francis in Assisi, St Mark’s Basilica in Venice, and in many local and regional venues. Cantate has gained many national and international awards. In 2008 we achieved international acclaim at the world’s largeSt choral event – the World Choir Games in Graz, AuStria – in which over 430 choirs from some 90 countries competed. It is situated on the south coaSt of the County of Cornwall, the area of England protruding into the atlantic Ocean facing North America. Male voice singing is traditionally very popular in the county, there being 33 federated choirs numbering 1,300 Singers out of a total population of nearly half a million. The choir was formed in 1974 and quickly matured into one of the leading and largeSt male choirs in Cornwall. It now has over 55 members including several founder members. The choir gives around 25 Concerts each year, raising many thousands of pounds for various charities. On the 10th July 2010 they celebrated their 900th public appearance. During a Concert tour of Gibraltar in 1979 they performed in the famous St. Michael's Cave. This four part chorus (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass) is devoted to music of all Styles, including Classical, Broadway and Contemporary tunes. These dynamic and talented Singers range in age from 14-25, and include young women in gr.11 and higher, and young men with changed voices. The SYC annually participates in the Family ChriStmas Concert, and choreographed year end show. They also Stage an OrcheStra Concert each spring, which has presented pieces such as Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass, Vivaldi's Gloria, and Requiems by Mozart, Faure, Rutter, and Daley, to name a few. This year, the SYC looks forward to singing Carl Orff's Carmina Burana. The Youth Chorus joined the senior and chamber choirs in their 2009 tour to the UK.
