Under the direction of its founder, artistic director and conductor Silvester Hajnal, the Choir managed to attain great reputation in the country and abroad in a short period of time. The Choir’s repertoire includes the works of both Yugoslav and foreign composers, from early renaissance to contemporary authors. We rehearse at the Bernie Grant Arts Centre on Tuesday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. We aim to unite and represent our community through our joy of singing. The Choir has over sixty singers rehearsing each week and the main focus in rehearsals is preparation for performances. These performances can take the form of concerts and appearances in festivals and other events in the local community.

On our first birthday, we won the Acappella/barbershop class at the 2011 International Eisteddfod in Wales, and we have earned many awards and recognitions to date in varous competitions. Under the direction of the exceptionally talented Mr Andrew Walker and his music team of award winning vocalists Affinity embraces educational aims, and encourages personal development in singing and performance. Affinity are always happy to hear from potential bookings, and welcome new members to audition for the Choir, we are a fun loving group of women who share the joys of singing, we employ strong values of team work, friendship and support.
